Black Power Security Solutions (Pty) Ltd is a private security service provider based at 330 Florence Nightingale Road in Westcliff, Chatsworth. We supply guarding, armed response and monitoring to residential, commercial, industrial and public-sector clients across KwaZulu-Natal.

Private security in this province is not short of companies. It is short of companies that answer the phone at two in the morning, that send a supervisor when a client complains, and that can still produce a written record of what happened on a particular shift three weeks later.
That gap is the whole of our positioning. We are not the cheapest option and we do not claim to be the largest. We run a manageable number of contracts properly, from a base close enough to our sites that a supervisor can be standing at your gate rather than explaining on the phone why nobody came.
Every officer we deploy is registered and graded under the Private Security Industry Regulation Act, vetted before posting, and inducted on your specific site before taking a shift on their own. Armed personnel hold current firearm competency. None of that is optional, and none of it is negotiable when we are under pressure to fill a post.

Answer the phone
A control room that is manned is not the same thing as a phone that has been diverted to somebody’s handset. Ours is manned, around the clock, every day of the year.

Check posts in person
Supervisors physically attend posts on every shift. An officer who knows a supervisor might walk in at any hour behaves differently from one who knows nobody is coming.

Write it down
If it is not in the occurrence book, it did not happen. Every shift, patrol, visitor and incident is recorded, and those records belong to the client as much as to us.

Match the plan to the site
We would rather lose a tender than post two officers where the property honestly needs six. Under-manning a site to win it on price is how people get hurt.

Stay reachable
You get a supervisor’s name and the control-room number — not a queue, a ticket reference, or a promise that somebody will call you back.
Registered, graded, vetted, inducted.
Private security in South Africa is a regulated industry. These are the checks that sit behind every officer who arrives at your gate.
Industry registration
The company and every deployed officer are registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority, as the Act requires of any provider operating lawfully.
Grading to post
Officers are graded, and posted according to grade and the requirement of the site — supervisory posts are filled by officers graded for them.
Pre-posting vetting
Criminal record and reference checks are completed before an officer is placed on a client site, not after a problem surfaces.
Site-specific induction
Every officer is walked through the property, its posts, its people and its procedures before taking a shift unsupervised.
Firearm competency
Armed response personnel hold current competency certificates for the firearms they carry, and are deployed only on duties they are competent for.
Record retention
Occurrence books, incident reports, rosters and post-check sheets are retained and made available to the client on request.
